The House of Refuge Sunnyslope has been a Source of hope and support for homeless men since 1988. HRS is a faith based Arizona non-profit organization providing shelter, transitional housing, and spiritual direction to homeless men in Maricopa County. The mission is to empower participants to become self sufficient, contributing citizens.

Located at North 7th Street and Mountain View Avenue, the House of Refuge Sunnyslope is well served by the Phoenix Metro Transit System. Men come from the streets, from the Veteran Center and hospitals, church groups and human service agencies throughout the county. The common thread for all the residents at HRS is that they are homeless and in need. ALL men at HRS must be fully employed. As well, each has household responsibilities, has a mentor, and performs community outreach.

OUR MISSION IS: Using the power and love of Jesus, to help transform men into the healthy productive people that God intended them to be.
