Upcoming Sermon Series:

“Love the Word, Learn the Word, Live the Word”

January 29-March 11, 2012

Starting the first of the year, we will do an intensive spiritual group campaign.  The focus this year is to equip all those that attend in how to read and learn from the Word of God.

Sometimes Scripture seems hard to understand because our techniques are dull, or we have possibly never learned a few how-to’s. During this campaign, we hope to equip you to approach the scripture with fresh eyes, and tools so you can love, learn, and then live the Word of God revealed in the Bible.

Remember, we need to be listening for the voice of God in our lives.

 

 

2. February 5 - Can I Trust the Bible?

Text:  1 Thessalonians 2:13

Focus:  Will discuss 5 reasons why we can trust the Bible.

 

3. February 12 - The Purpose of the Bible.

Text:  2 Timothy 3:15-16

Focus: Will discuss the foundations of the Bible and how it is active and alive

 

4.  February 19 – How Do I See what God Wants Me to See in

           the Bible?

Text:  Principles of Observation. • Psalm 119:18 • Luke 22:45

Focus: How to see lessons in the Word and uncover things we may not have seen before.

 

5. February 26 – How Do I Know what it Means?

Text: 1 Corinthians 2:13-14

Focus:  How do you get spiritual discernment to know the meaning of what you have learned and how do you apply it?

 

6. March 4 – How Do I Hide God’s Word in My Heart?

A. Learn the importance of Scripture memory.

B. Committing to memorize one verse per week for the rest of the year.

C. When Jesus was tempted, he battled the enemy with memorized Scripture.

 

7. March 11 – How Do I Know What to Do About It?

A. Application and living out the Word

B. Obeying the Word
